Everybody seems to have forgotten, or are in denial of, what we were fighting for in the first place. Or, at any rate, what our ancestors were fighting for; whether our ancestors were African, Indonesian or, even longer ago, European (like Asterix the Gaul) or even more recently in South America and the Arctic Circle. What we’ve been fighting for all these generations is the freedom to live with the land, without need for manufactured goods or being expected to indenture our labour. In other words, the freedom to live according to original culture.
This is the only real freedom and each post-colonial country in the world was only granted ‘freedom’ from colonial rule once there were enough local politicians with strong desires for manufactured wealth, making them willing to impose the rule of law upon us, the people. The rule of law is the iron fist of oppression by money.
There are two basic cultures in the world. One is the indo-european culture of god and the other is the culture of earth. The rastafarians were the custodians of earth’s culture. Now they are turning it into a religion, equating it with the culture of god. Wanting to be acceptable to the godsquad is just grovelling to the downpressors.
The real difference between us and our ancestors is that, having been exposed to the culture of god, our ego has been awakened. True people have no ego.
